REMINDERS: PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS ARE OCT 23 SO PLEASE TRY TO BOOK A TIME WITH ME ASAP. PROGRESS REPORTS WERE GIVEN OUT ON FRI OCT 17. STUDENTS ARE TO RETURN THE BOTTOM PORTION OF THE PROGRESS REPORT ASAP (SIGNED BY PARENTS IF YOU ARE LESS THAN 18 YEARS OLD).
I began the class today by taking up any questions the students had from yesterday’s homework. After taking up the questions, I then moved on to the lesson for today which was titled “3.4 Solving Quadratic Equations by Factoring”. I did some examples before assigning the homework for the students to work on for the remainder of the period (Pages 161 & 162 #1 – 7(ab only)). I mentioned to the students that we would continue with a lesson on section 3.4 tomorrow because I wanted to split up the lesson to cover all of the examples the students need to know for this section.
