TEJ3M/4M – Sept 12, 2014

I began the class today by reminding the students that their assignment titled “Custom Made Computer” was due today by the end of class.  After talking to the students about this assignment, I then showed the students on digital projector the expectations for the assignment titled “Intel Hardware Assignment” which I gave them yesterday.  The due date of this assignment is Mon Sept 15.  There were a few students that had already finished this assignment, so then I showed the students the next assignment which is titled “Computer Basics worksheet” (this is the last assignment in the hardware unit).  I went over the expectations for this assignment as well on the digital projector before letting the students get to work (the instructions for this assignment are also listed on the page as well).  The “Computer Basics worksheet” assignment is due Wed Sept 17.  I then told the students to continue to work for the remainder of the period.  For the last 20 minutes of class I told those students that were either or ahead or finished everything that I would put up a video from youtube for them to watch titled “The American Experience – Silicon Valley”.  For those students that missed the video here is a link to it:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcOoQP7nhl4
