REMINDER: THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING AN IN-CLASS OPEN BOOK ASSIGNMENT ON MON SEPT 15 RELATED TO ALL OF THE MATERIAL WE HAVE DONE IN CHAPTER 1 SO FAR. I WILL DO REVIEW QUESTIONS WITH THE STUDENTS TOMORROW TO HELP THEM PREPARE.
I began the class today giving the students a few handouts. On the handouts were questions that students had asked me to take up in class last week. (one handout has a homework question from Sept 9 and the other is from Sept 10). I posted these questions on the blog, but thought it would be useful for the students to have to add to their notes (I will attach a copy of both of these handouts below). After going over the handouts, I then did a review with the students in class to make sure the students understood some of the main topics from Chapter 1. I put up questions and then the students tried them at their desk. I then called students up to the board to put up their answers and took up the answers with the class. I then gave the students a handout with multiple choice questions for homework (students only have to do #1 – 13 from the worksheet). The worksheet is titled “Functions Review”.
