REMINDER: WE HAVE A CHRISTMAS DOOR DECORATING CONTEST WHICH WILL BE JUDGED ON FRI DEC 5. I ASKED THE STUDENTS TO BRING IN MATERIALS FROM HOME (E.G. SCRAPBOOK PAPER, SCISSORS, CONSTRUCTION PAPER…ETC) SO WE CAN WORK ON OUR DOOR. WE WILL BE WORKING ON OUR DOOR AGAIN IN CLASS ON THUR DEC 4, SO STUDENTS SHOULD BRING IN THEIR MATERIALS ON OR BEFORE THIS DAY. ALSO, 2 STUDENTS CAME TO OUR CLASS EARLIER THIS WEEK TO TALK ABOUT THE PROJECT ANGEL CAMPAIGN. WE WERE GIVEN A SHEET WITH THE CHILD WE ARE TO EITHER RAISE MONEY FOR OR BRING IN A GIFT FOR. STUDENTS ARE TO BRING IN MONEY/GIFT BY FRI DEC 12. I POSTED A COPY OF THE SHEET WE WERE GIVEN BELOW.
Project Angel (Due by Dec 12) (students are to bring in money or a gift or both)
I began the class today by giving the students a package with 3 worksheets in it titled “Trigonometric Ratios”, “Evaluating Trigonometric Ratios” and “Applying Trigonometric Ratios”. I told the students that we will be doing a review of Pythagorean Theorem and the Primary Trigonometric Ratios (SOH CAH TOA) in class tomorrow. To start off the review, the students are to do these 3 worksheets for homework tonight. I posted blank copies of the worksheets and also the solutions to these worksheets below. I will take up the answers on the digital projector on Fri Dec 5 at the start of class.
After giving the students the worksheets, I then divided various tasks to the students to help decorate our door for the door decorating contest Fri Dec 5. We used most of the period to work on decorating the door today. Those students that will not be at school tomorrow because they are going on the Grade 11 Religion Trip are strongly recommended to check tomorrow’s blog posting for the lesson and also the homework.
