MFM1P – Sept 10, 2014

I began the class today by mentioning to the students that I would be re-assigning the worksheet I gave them at the end of yesterday’s class titled “Adding & Subtracting Fractions”.  I then continued the lesson from yesterday titled “Adding & Subtracting Fractions” because I did not have a chance to finish it.  I did a few more examples to make sure the students understood and then also went over some definitions (Eg. Improper & Mixed Fractions) to help the students.  After this lesson, I then moved on to the next lesson which was titled “Multiplying &Dividing Fractions.  I did a number of examples before giving the students the new worksheet titled “Multiplying & Dividing Fractions”.  Both the  “Adding & Subtracting Fractions” and “Multiplying & Dividing Fractions” are for homework tonight.  I will take up any questions the students had at the start of tomorrow’s class.
