MCF3M – Sept 3, 2014

REMINDER:  THE STUDENTS HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC REVIEW TEST ON FRI SEPT 5 BASED ON THE REVIEW QUESTIONS FROM HOMEWORK ASSIGNED ON TUE SEPT 2.  ALSO, STUDENTS ARE REMINDED TO BRING THEIR COURSE OUTLINE TO SCHOOL SIGNED.

I began the class today by taking up homework questions the students had from yesterday’s homework.  I mentioned to the students that they are responsible for knowing the material from yesterday’s homework for the diagnostic test this Friday.  After taking up the homework questions, I then moved on to the lesson for today which was titled “1.1 The Characteristics of a Function”.  I put on the board a number of definitions and then did a few examples.  I had run out of time for the lesson, so then I assigned the students a few questions to do for homework (page 13 #1 & 2).  I will continue with the lesson “1.1 The Characteristics of a Function” at the start of tomorrow’s class.

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
