IMPORTANT: THE STUDENTS WILL BE WRITING THE 2ND BOOKLET FOR THE EQAO GRADE 9 MATH ASSESSMENT TODAY (JAN 15). STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE PRESENT TODAY TO WRITE. I WILL BE COUNTING THE EQAO TEST AS THE CULMINATING ACTIVITY FOR THE COURSE WHICH IS 9% OF THE STUDENTS’ FINAL GRADE IN THE COURSE.
The students wrote the second part of EQAO today (booket #2 for multiple choice and open response). The students had 60 minutes to write the assessment in class. The students were put into a specific seating plan for EQAO (see below). I told the students that once they finished, they were to get a exam review package from my desk and quietly work on it until the end of the period (I gave the students this review package yesterday). This final review package is for homework, but will be giving the students until Mon Jan 19 to finish this exam review package. For those students that are already finished the review package, I gave the students another worksheet today which I will take up at the start of class tomorrow as well. This is a concept that we did at the start of the semester titled “Collecting Like Terms”. The title of the worksheet is “Collecting Like Terms Worksheet”. I would like the students to do this worksheet for homework so I can take it up. I will be doing a new lesson at the start of tomorrow’s class (this is the last lesson of the course). I will take up any questions the students have from the review at the start of tomorrow’s class or students can email me directly if they have any questions (abawa@office.ldcsb.on.ca).
Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
MFM 1P Final Exam Review (Students have until Mon Jan 19 to complete this review package. I will take up any questions the students have from this package at the start of tomorrow’s class)
Collecting Like Terms Worksheet with answers (I gave this to the students today. This is for homework tonight so students are expected to complete it for tomorrow)
