MFM1P – Jan 14, 2015 | Mr. Bawa's Semester 1 Classes at St. Mary's

IMPORTANT: THE STUDENTS WILL BE WRITING THE EQAO GRADE 9 MATH ASSESSMENT TODAY (JAN 14) AND TOMORROW (JAN 15) . STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE PRESENT ON BOTH DAYS. I WILL BE COUNTING THE EQAO TEST AS THE CULMINATING ACTIVITY FOR THE COURSE WHICH IS 9% OF THE STUDENTS’ FINAL GRADE IN THE COURSE.

The students wrote the first part of EQAO today (booket #1 for multiple choice and open response). The students had 60 minutes to write the assessment in class today. The students were put into a specific seating plan for EQAO (see below). I told the students that once they finished, they were to get a exam review package from my desk and quietly work on it until the end of the period (a copy of this review can be found below). The students will be writing booklet #2 tomorrow and will have the same procedure as today (60 minutes to write and then they are to work on the exam review once they finish). I posted practice assessments for 2010 to 2014 below with the answers to multiple choice and open response questions. Please take a look below for copies of all 5 assessments and answers (2010 to 2014). Students should be working on these questions to help them review for booklet #2 tomorrow.

MFM 1P Final Exam Review (This is the final exam review the students were given after their EQAO assessment today. This is not homework tonight but the students are to keep this with them and can work on this again after booklet #2 tomorrow)

Seating Plan for EQAO Assessment (Jan 14 & 15):

There are a total of 5 EQAO practice assessments which I have posted below (from 2010 to 2014). With the practice assessments are the sample answers for both the open response questions and the multiple choice questions. I strongly recommend that the students go over some of the packages below to help them review for EQAO Jan 14 & 15.
