MCF3M – Jan 8, 2015

IMPORTANT:  THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING THEIR FINAL CULMINATING/PERFORMANCE TASK ON THUR JAN 15.  THIS WILL ONLY BE 1 PERIOD AND IS WORTH 9% OF THE STUDENTS’ FINAL GRADE IN THE COURSE.  I MENTIONED TO THE STUDENTS THAT THE CULMINATING TASK WILL CONSIST OF ONLY THINKING & INQUIRY QUESTIONS.  STUDENTS WILL BE GIVEN 4 QUESTIONS AND WILL HAVE TO DO 3.

I began the class today by taking up any questions the students had from the homework from Jan 6.  I took up the questions on the black board.  After taking up the questions, I then moved on to the lesson today which was a continuation of the lesson we did on Jan 6 titled “Transformations of the Sine Functions f(x)= asin(x – c) + d or y = asin(x – c) + d (continued)”.  I went over a few more key concepts with the formula f(x)= asin(x – c) + d and then did a few more examples to help the students with today’s homework (Pages 357 & 358 #1 to 4 & 7 and Page 375 #12, 13ef & 14ef).  I will take up any questions the students have at the start of tomorrow’s class or students can email me directly if they have any questions (abawa@office.ldcsb.on.ca).

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
