PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE A REVISED SCHOOL DAY SCHEDULE TODAY (DEC 19) FOR OUR CHRISTMAS ASSEMBLY. I HAVE POSTED A COPY OF THE REVISED SCHEDULE BELOW.
Christmas Assembly Revised Schedule for the Day (Dec 19)
I began the class today by mentioning to the students that I gave them the first EQAO package yesterday to work on over the Christmas break (this if the 2012-2013 EQAO test). I then gave the students the second EQAO package today (this if the 2013-2014 EQAO test). I strongly advise the students to do both EQAO packages over the break (I will take them up on Jan 5, 2015). The students will be writing the EQAO assessment over a span of 2 days (Jan 14 and Jan 15). The students would be given booklet 1 on Jan 14 and booklet 2 on Jan 15 (each package above would be what a booklet would be like).
Also, when the students return from the break, we will be continuing with Chapter 6 of the textbook (Linear Relations) and I will be doing sections 6.6. to 6.10 (we will do section 6.6 when the students return on Jan 5, 2014). There was no other homework assigned from the textbook for the Christmas break (only the 2 EQAO packages).
I had told the students yesterday to bring in some treats in for our class today so we could have a pot luck (I left it open ended so that those students that did not want to participate did not have to). I also asked the students to bring in some of their own board games and other related activities to class. Some students then broke up into groups to play some of the games. I also brought in some of my own games for those students that wanted to play a game together as a class.
Have a safe and happy holiday. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
