Christmas Assembly Revised Schedule for the Day (Dec 19)

I began the class today by mentioning to the students that the lesson we did yesterday was the first lesson of new unit we are working on Chapter 6 Sinusoidal Functions.  I recommend to those students that were not here yesterday to look at yesterday’s blog posting for the lesson and the homework (this material will be on the final exam).  The lesson I did yesterday was titled “6.2 Sinusoidal Behaviour” (see the Dec 18 blog posting).  I told the students that we would continue with a lesson on Mon Jan 5, 2015 titled “6.3 Investigating the Sine Function” which is the next section in chapter 6.  There was no other homework assigned for the Christmas break.

I had told the students yesterday to bring in some treats in for our class today so we could have a pot luck (I left it open ended so that those students that did not want to participate did not have to).  I also asked the students to bring in some of their own board games and other related activities to class.  Some students then broke up into groups to play some of the games.  I also brought in some of my own games for those students that wanted to play a game together as a class.
