PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE A REVISED SCHOOL DAY SCHEDULE TODAY (DEC 16) FOR OUR CHRISTMAS MASS. I HAVE POSTED A COPY OF THE REVISED SCHEDULE BELOW.
Christmas Mass Revised Schedule for the Day (Dec 16)
IMPORTANT: THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING A UNIT TEST ON CHAPTER 6 (SECTION 6.1 TO 6.5 FROM THE TEXTBOOK) ON THUR DEC 18. I WILL ALLOW THE STUDENTS TO HAVE A “CHEAT SHEET” FOR THEIR TEST ON THUR DEC 18. THIS CHEAT SHEET IS 8.5″ BY 11″ (LETTER SIZE) DOUBLE SIDED AND THE STUDENTS CAN WRITE ON IT (NOT TYPED) WHATEVER THEY WANT (EXAMPLES, FORMULAS …ETC). STUDENTS CANNOT PHOTOCOPY SOMEONE ELSE’S SHEET. I WILL GIVE THE STUDENTS TIME IN CLASS ON WED DEC 17 TO WORK ON THEIR “CHEAT SHEETS”.
I began the class today by taking up some of the questions from yesterday’s homework, specifically from the worksheet titled “Slope from a Graph & Slope from 2 Points Worksheet”. I took a few questions up on the digital projector and then did a few on the blackboard. After taking up the questions, I then told the students that I would be continuing with the lesson we had started yesterday titled “6.4 & 6.5 Direct & Partial Variation (continued)”. I wanted to give the students a few more examples to show the students how they can tell the difference between a direct variation and a partial variation. After going over the lesson I then assigned the homework for the students to work on (Pages 213 & 214 #1 to 4). I will take up any questions at the start of tomorrow’s class and will give the students some time to work on their “cheat sheets”.
Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
