IMPORTANT:  2 STUDENTS CAME TO OUR CLASS LAST WEEK TO TALK ABOUT THE PROJECT ANGEL CAMPAIGN.  WE NOW HAVE 3 CHILDREN TO RAISE MONEY OR BRING IN GIFTS FOR.  STUDENTS ARE TO BRING IN MONEY/GIFT BY THU DEC 11.  I SUGGESTED TO THE CLASS TODAY THAT IF EACH OF US BRING IN BETWEEN $10 AND $20, THEN WE WILL BE ABLE TO BUY GIFTS FOR ALL 3 CHILDREN.  I POSTED A COPIES OF THE SHEETS FOR ALL 3 CHILDREN BELOW.

Child #1  (students are to bring in money or a gift or both by Dec 11)

Child #2 (students are to bring in money or a gift or both by Dec 11)

Child #3 (students are to bring in money or a gift or both by Dec 11)

I began the class today by taking up any questions the students had from yesterday’s homework on the black board.  After taking up the questions, I then told the students that we would be doing a new lesson today which was titled “5.3 Applying the Sine Law Using Acute Triangles”.  I first went over the sine law before giving the students some examples to help them with the homework.  I mentioned to the students that I would be adding to today’s homework questions from Section 5.1 and 5.2 (right angle triangles – primary Trig. Ratios SOH CAH TOA and Pythagorean Theorem) to help them practice word problems for right angle triangles.  Students have the following for homework:  Pages 280 & 281 #1 to 6 and Page 288 #1 to 4.

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.

Take-up of the homework from Dec 8 (Page 271 #5cd & 9ab)
