MFM1P – Dec 5, 2014

IMPORTANT:  THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING A UNIT TEST ON CHAPTER 5 (SECTION 5.1 TO 5.5) ON TUE DEC 9.  I WILL ALLOW THE STUDENTS TO HAVE A “CHEAT SHEET” FOR THEIR TEST ON TUE DEC 9.  THIS CHEAT SHEET IS 8.5″ BY 11″ (LETTER SIZE) DOUBLE SIDED AND THE STUDENTS CAN WRITE ON IT (NOT TYPED) WHATEVER THEY WANT (EXAMPLES, FORMULAS …ETC).  STUDENTS CANNOT PHOTOCOPY SOMEONE ELSE’S SHEET.  I WILL GIVE THE STUDENTS TIME IN CLASS ON MON DEC 8 TO WORK ON THEIR “CHEAT SHEETS”.

I began the class today by taking up any questions the students had from yesterday’s homework.  I took up the answers to the package titled “EQAO Practice Questions – Graphing Relations – Part 1” which I gave the students for homework as well on top of the homework the students had from the textbook as well (see the Dec 4 blog posting for further details).  After going over homework questions I then told the students I would be giving them 2 more review packages today to work on for the rest of the period.  The first one is titled “Chapter 5 Review Questions – Sections 5.2 to 5.5” and the second one is titled “EQAO Practice Questions – Graphing Relations – Part 2”.  I gave the students the option of either working on these 2 worksheets in class today or starting their “cheat sheet” for the unit test on Tue Dec 9.
