IMPORTANT: WE HAVE A CHRISTMAS DOOR DECORATING CONTEST WHICH WILL BE JUDGED ON FRI DEC 5. WE BRAINSTORMED IDEAS IN CLASS TODAY AND I ASKED THE STUDENTS TO BRING IN MATERIALS FROM HOME (E.G. SCRAPBOOK PAPER, SCISSORS, CONSTRUCTION PAPER…ETC) SO WE CAN WORK ON OUR DOOR ON FRI NOV 28. BELOW IS AN IMAGE OF ONE OF THE IDEAS WE CAME UP WITH AS A CLASS FOR OUR DOOR.
There was no homework assigned to the students on Thu Nov 20 so there were no questions to take up. I told the students that I wanted to continue with the lesson we had done on Wed Nov 19 titled “7.5 Properties of Exponential Functions (continued)”. I wanted to go over a few more concepts related to exponential functions before moving on to the next lesson. After going over the lesson, I then did the new lesson which was titled “7.6 Solving Exponential Growth Problems”. I went over the general formula for exponential growth and did an example. After going over the example, I then assigned the homework for the students to work on for the remainder of the period (Pages 429 & 430 #1 to 5).
Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
