MFM1P – Nov 17, 2014

PLEASE NOTE:  TODAY WE DID A GROUP ACTIVITY DURING OUR PERIOD 1 (HOMEROOM CLASSES) RELATED TO ANTI-BULLYING WEEK.  AS A SCHOOL WE READ THE “PLEDGE TO END BULLYING” AND THEN HAD EACH PERSON IN THE SCHOOL SIGN IT.  ALSO A LETTER WAS TO GO HOME WHICH TALKS ABOUT ANTI-BULLYING WEEK.  ALSO, THERE IS A REVISED SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY TOMORROW BECAUSE WE HAVE A GUEST SPEAKER COMING IN DURING PERIOD 5.  SEE BELOW FOR A COPY OF THE ANTI-BULLYING WEEK LETTER AND REVISED SCHEDULE FOR TOMORROW.

Revised schedule for the day (Nov 18, 2014)  

IMPORTANT:  THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING A UNIT TEST ON MON NOV 24 COVERING CHAPTER 3 OF THE TEXTBOOK (RELATIONSHIPS IN GEOMETRY).

I began the class today by taking up any questions the students had from yesterday’s homework.  After taking up the questions, I then moved on to a new lesson today which was titled “3.5 Interior and Exterior Angles of Polygons”.  I first went over some key concepts and definitions before giving the students some examples.  After going over the examples I then gave the students the homework to work on for the remainder of the period (Pages 101 & 102 #2 to 6, 8 & 10).
