I asked the students at the start of the class to get into their groups that I had assigned them to yesterday (please see the Nov 12 blog posting for further details). Once the students got into their groups, we then played a few activities. The first was a class builder to get the students moving and out of their seats before we started the review activity. We then did some activities using whiteboards (we did a similar activity in class yesterday as well). Once we finished the group activity, I then did a new lesson which was titled “3.4 Interior & Exterior Angles of a Quadrilateral”. I first went over some key concepts related to the lesson before going over some examples with the students. After going over the examples, I then gave the students 2 worksheets to work on for the remainder of the period. The worksheets are titled “Angles in a Quadrilateral Worksheet #1 & 2” which you will find copies of below. I also told the students that the worksheet I gave them yesterday titled “Review of Grade 9 Angle Properties Worksheet” would be homework for tonight if they did not finish it yesterday. I posted the answers for this worksheet below.
Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
