The students had a mini test at the start of class today covering all of the material from sections 4.2 & 4.4 of the textbook. I told the students that they would only have 40 minutes to write the test. For those students that were finished their test early, I put some questions on the board for them to work on while they wait which is part of their homework (Page 401 #14 – 17). Once the 40 minutes were up, I then told the students that I would be putting them into groups to do some activities. I put up the groups on the digital projector so the students knew where to go (the students were put into groups of 4). I did part of a lesson on the board which was titled “7.3 Working with Integer Exponents” and then gave the students the instructions for the group activity. After doing the lesson/activity, I then assigned the homework for the students to work on related to section 7.3 (Pages 407 to 408 #1 – 5).
