MCF3M – Oct 30, 2014

IMPORTANT:  THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING A UNIT TEST COVERING ALL OF CHAPTER 3 (PLUS SECTION 4.3) ON MONDAY NOVEMBER 3. 

I began the class today by giving the students a handout titled “Solving and Factoring Summary” that summarizes both factoring and solving (this is to show the students how they are related in different forms).  I then went over the handout briefly with the students on the digital projector.  After going over this handout with the students, I then asked if the taking up any questions the students had form yesterday’s homework.  There was only 1 question the students asked me to take up.  After taking up the question, I then told the students that I would be giving them a practice test to help them study for their upcoming unit test on Mon Nov 3.  While the students worked at their desks, I went around to help the students as they worked.  I had students come up to the board to put up their answers and we took some of the questions up as a class.  I told the students that I would post the solutions for the practice test here so they could check their answers.  This practice test is homework for tonight.  I will take it up in class tomorrow on the digital projector.
