IMPORTANT: THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING A UNIT TEST ON THE MATERIAL FROM CHAPTER 3 (AND SECTION 4.3) ON MON NOV 3.
I began the class today by mentioning to the students that I would be away from school tomorrow (Oct 29). I then mentioned that they would be having a unit test on Mon Nov 3 covering all of the topics from Chapter 3 (plus section 4.3). I will be back on Thur Oct 30 to do some more review with the students before the test and answer any questions they may have. They can also email me their questions as well (abawa@office.ldcsb.on.ca).
After talking to the students, I then took up any questions the students had from yesterday’s homework. After taking up the questions, I then moved on to the lesson for today which was titled “3.6 Creating a Quadratic Model from Data”. This is the last section in chapter 3. I did some examples with the students before assigning the homework for them to work on for the remainder of the period (Pages 176 & 178 #1 – 4 & 7).
Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
Take-up of the homework from Oct 27 (Page 168 #1 & 6) (I did not have enough time in class to take up all of the questions the students asked me so I told them I would take them up at the start of class on Thur Oct 30 when I return)
