I began the class today by taking up any questions the students had from yesterday’s homework. I took up the questions on the black board with the students. After taking up the questions, I then told the students we would be continuing our lesson from yesterday which was titled “3.4 Solving Quadratic Equations by Factoring (continued)”. I wanted to break the lesson up because there was a lot of material to cover, so today I covered some of the word problems related to section 3.4. After going over the examples with the students, I then assigned the homework for them to do for the remainder of the period (Pages 162 & 163 #8 – 12 & 14).
