REMINDER: PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS ARE OCT 23 SO PLEASE TRY TO BOOK A TIME WITH ME ASAP.
I began the class today by checking to see how many of the students had completed the homework. Once I had a chance to go around, I then took up any questions the students had from yesterday’s homework. After taking up the homework, I then moved on to the lesson for today. I told the students that there was one more thing I wanted to show them from the lesson we did yesterday before we moved on to the next lesson. This lesson was again titled “3.2 Relating the Standard and Factored Forms (continued)”. I put up one more example (a shortcut to yesterday’s example). I then assigned the homework for the students to work on for the remainder of the period (Page 155 #1 – 4). I will continue with a new lesson on Mon Oct 20 on section 3.3 Solving Quadratic Equations by Graphing. The lesson will require the students to use the TI-83 calculators. I mentioned to the students that they could use either the virtual TI-83 calculator (students can copy this calculator from the hand-out folder at school to use on their own computer) or they can use the following website: https://www.desmos.com/calculator.
Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
