MFM1P – Oct 9, 2014

REMINDERS:  PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS  ARE OCT 23 SO PLEASE TRY TO BOOK A TIME WITH ME ASAP.  TODAY WAS OUR THANKSGIVING LITURGY SO THERE WAS A REVISED SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY.  I POSTED THE SCHEDULE BELOW.

Thanksgiving Liturgy Revised Schedule for the Day

I began the class today by taking up any questions the students had from yesterday’s homework.  I started off by taking up 2 questions that were emailed to me yesterday (Pages 5 & 6 #5 & 10).  After I took up the homework questions, I then moved on to the lesson for today which was titled “1.2 Measuring Right Triangles” .  I first went over some definitions and diagrams with the students so they understood the concepts in this section.  I then gave the students some examples before assigning the homework for them to work on for the remainder of the period (Pages 9 & 10 #1 – 10).

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.

Below are questions that a students asked me to take up (sent via email) from the homework:

Take-up of the homework from Oct 8 (Pages 5 & 6 #5, & 10) (I took this up on the digital projector)

Take-up of the homework from Oct 8 (Page 6 #7 & 9)

Take-up of the homework from Oct 9 (Page 9 & 10 #6, 7 & 10) (I will take this up at the start of class tomorrow on the digital projector)

Oct 9 – Lesson – 1.2 Measuring Right Triangles

Electronic Copy of Homework Questions (#1 – 10) (this is the homework for section 1.2)

      Hi Dylan,
I just posted the solutions for pages 9 & 10 #6, 7 & 10 on today’s blog posting (Oct 9). Take a look at it, otherwise if it still does not make sense then I will take it up at the start of class tomorrow. Take care.
