Thanksgiving Liturgy Revised Schedule for the Day
I began the class today by letting the students know that we were now starting a new unit which is the first chapter in the textbook titled “Chapter 1 Measuring Figures and Objects”. We then started the lesson which is the first section of the textbook titled “1.1 Measuring Perimeter & Area”. I gave the students a handout which is a copy of the formula sheet the students will be getting when they write the EQAO test in January. This formula sheet has formulas for 2D and 3D shapes and cover perimeter, area, surface area and volume. Students can use this sheet to do the homework in this chapter. After going over the sheet with the students I then started the lesson. I first went over the formulas again with the students in detail to make sure the students understood them. After going over the formulas, I then did some examples on the board. After the lesson I then assigned the homework for the students to work on for the remainder of the period (Pages 5 & 6 #1 – 10). I will take up any questions at the start of class tomorrow or students can email me their questions directly.
