REMINDER: WE HAVE AN ASSEMBLY TODAY AT THE END OF THE DAY. THIS IS OUR GST (GOOD SAMARITAN TEAM) ASSEMBLY SO THERE IS A REVISED SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY AND CLASS ARE SHORTENED. BELOW IS A COPY OF THE SCHEDULE.

GST (Good Samaritan Team) Revised Day Schedule

I began the class today by taking up the questions the students had from yesterday’s homework.  There were a few students in our class that asked me if I could put their answers up on the digital projector to help take up the homework which I greatly appreciated, so I took a picture of their homework with my Ipad and showed the class their answers.  Unfortunately I forgot to charge my Ipad and it ended up shutting off.  So I took up the rest of the questions on board with the students.  I will continue to encourage students in the class to share their work with our class on a daily basis.

After taking up the questions with the students, I then moved on to a new lesson today which was titled “4.6 Percent as a Ratio”.  I was only able to get to a few examples before we were called down to the gym for the GST assembly.  For the GST assembly, we had some freestyle soccer players come to give the students a presentation about bullying.  They told the students at the assembly what their site was, so I looked up the site and thought I would post it here for those wanting more information about it (http://www.freezeoutbullying.com/).  After the assembly we came back to class with 5 minutes left.  I told the students we would continue the lesson “4.6 Percent as a Ratio” at the start of tomorrow’s class.  There is NO homework the students were given today.

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
