MFM1P – Sept 22, 2014

IMPORTANT:  THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING A QUIZ ON SECTION 4.1 AND 4.2 OF THE TEXTBOOK TOMORROW SEPT 23 AT THE START OF CLASS.

I began the class today by mentioning to the students that I would be away from school tomorrow for a conference.  I then mentioned that they would be having a quiz on the material from section 4.1 and 4.2 of the textbook (this is the homework I assigned on Sept 17 and Sept 19 – I will post a copy of these worksheets below so students can study for the quiz).

After talking to the students about the unit quiz, I then handed their marked review assignment back to them (they wrote this about a week ago).  I took up the answers to the assignment on the digital projector (I will also post the answers below).  After taking up the answers, I told the students that I would be taking up the questions the students had from the homework from Sept 19 (section 4.2).  I took up various questions on the board until the students indicated to me that they understood the concept.  After taking up the homework, I then told the students I would be doing a review on section 4.1 and 4.2 to help them study for the quiz tomorrow.  I then put some questions up on the board and students tried them at their desks.  I then went around and checked the students’ work and told students to put their answers up on the board.  We then took up the answers and did this for the remainder of the period.  I told the students they had no homework except for studying for their quiz tomorrow.
