Welcome Mass Holy Family Church (Revised Schedule for the Day)

I began the class today by mentioning to the students that I would be showing the students a few videos today related to am important topic related to technology which is called “e-waste (electronic waste)”.  The first video I showed them was from youtube, and it is a concept (called Phonebloks) that an independent company had come up with which would help us think of how we could recycle our cell phones.  Here is the link to this video:

After showing them short video about Phonebloks, I then gave the students a handout titled “Ghana A Digital Dumping Ground (Video & Worksheet)” which they were to fill in while they watched a video from PBS Frontline.  Here is a link to the video I showed them titled “Ghana A Digital Dumping Ground”:

After showing the video, I took up the answers with the students on the digital projector and then had the students mark their own sheets and fill in answers for spaces they left blank.  They were to hand this in to be marked as a completion mark.  I then told the students to log on to the computers to finish any assignments from Fri Sept 12 that they still needed to work on.  Below are the 2 remaining assignments in the hardware unit the students are to still complete.

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
