I began the class today by asking the students if they had any homework from the class on Thu Sept 4 (page 14 & 15 #4 – 7) because I did not take up any homework on Fri Sept 5 because of the diagnostic test. The students told me they had no questions, so then I moved on to the lesson which was a continuation of the last lesson we did titled “1.7 Domain & Range of a Function”. There were a number of things I had to recall with respect to linear and quadratic functions before I gave examples of domain and range of linear and quadratic functions. After going through the lesson, I then assigned the homework for the students to do for the remainder of the period (page 63 & 64 #1, 2, 4, 6acd – the homework from page 63 &6 4 is from section 1.7; page 15 # 8 – 11 – the homework from page 15 is from section 1.1). I will take up any homework questions the students have the start of tomorrow’s class.
